Von Trier was, somewhat surprisingly, an inarticulate goofball about the whole thing, but it's absurd that the cops are knocking at his door for such silly bullshit (same for Bardot, who may have some vile opinions, but who cares?). I understand that Europe is way closer to what Hitler did and thus way more sensitive about it, but anyone with a shred of common sense would just let this shit slide (or make fun of him for a bit and then forget about it).

This is so ironic. Its just amazing that in 2011 the PC police actually exist.

Eh. So a DA in France decided to use a law (one with which I agree by the way) to get his name in the papers. I'd rather we disproportionately freak out about things like this than about sex.
