It's arguably the funniest out of the series. Rocky shooting the commercial alone is worth seeing the movie for.

Part 4 is by far the funniest.  Creed humping the ring?

You know you just made Rocky IV all the better. Now the next time this is watched, we might loop this part.

As far as I am concerned, all of the Rocky films (with the exception of the fifth one) are great movies.  Rocky II is certainly one of the best though.

I love Rocky III for the sheer entertainment value, and I’ve probably caught that more on TV than any other of the films.  But if Stallone had left the series after II and then picked it up with Balboa years later, I think it would have been a very interesting trilogy.

Agree with this 100%.   I think if you introduce a person to the Rocky series, you really have to go Rocky 1, 2, and Balboa.   The sharp tonal change from 2 to 3 is very jarring.

I'll get some shit for this...

...but Rocky V needed to happen. At least the opening scene where Rocky is in the shower and his hands can't stop shaking. All that inspiration and reality trouncing inspiration got a gut check that stopped Rocky from possibly having an installment taking in space!

Yeah the execution sucked, and it grounded him harshly, but Rocky Balboa wouldn't of been as good as it was. Although I see it as a film that's a bandage. One for the franchise but mostly for Sly's career.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Rocky V.  I actually like it more and more with each viewing.  I just don't think it is anywhere near as good or entertaining as the rest.

Nothing saves Sage Stallone in Rocky 5 nothing. Agree with S.D. the Rocky series is pretty great with everything until Rocky 5.

Has anyone seen the Rocky V Workprint? It doesn't make it a better film but it does give the film a much darker tone in what I'm assuming was Stallone's original intent.

Little Marie also makes an appearance but in a completely different way than in Rocky Balboa.
