I am currently looking foward to the new movie staring Bruce Campbell called Bubba Ho-Tep directed by Don Coscarelli who is the directer of the Phantasm series. While surfing on the Phantasm site I came across a link leading to this artical at AICN:

I can't believe this! Bruce Campbell against the Tall Man. All I can say is this movie if it is made could very well be one of the best sequles ever made in a horror series.

That's been said for a while now. When I interviewed Reggie Bannister many moons ago, he did confrim that they were trying to get Bruce involved in the movie. I haven't really heard anything about that since, however, but I'm sure he'd do it now that he has some history with Coscarelli.

However, the chances of us ever seeing a 'Phantasm 5' are slimmer than Crispin Glover's character in 'Charlie's Angels', and smell a lot worse.

Don't hold your breath dude.

Expect Evil Dead 4 to be done before this thing. But, stranger things have happened.

I was so bored by Phantasm 3 that I've never checked out number 4. Is it worth it? By the way I loved P1 and P2. P3 just didn't do it for me.

Phantasm 4 is not really scary but it it is IMO right up there with the first in the series. #4 is enteratining weirdness with style. It is my second favorite in the series with the first phantasm being my favorite.

P2 rocks! P1 was so bizarre that it gave me the creeps. The other two....well everyone can't be a homerun.

I didnt really enjoy part 1 when i seen it, althought i liked part 2. so i have decided to give p1 a second chance and rent it again.

See again, with an open mind. Remember that this was techincally the first movie Coscarelli made with anything resembling a budget, and I think what he was able to do with the money he had is still impressive.

Try and ignore the cheese that shows up in some scenes, if possible. It's difficult, I know, but it makes the movie that much cooler if you can just laugh it off instead of holding it against the total film.
