To me, Johnson has always been a pretty good actor. His ego and all around assholeness seemed to have hurt his career. He's experienced a bit of a resurgence lately which is pretty cool. I think he'll be pretty great as a villain. Like always, Tarrantino knows how to pick 'em and he knows how to get the best out of them.

Yet another great name to a film I would have watched regardless.  There are a lot of solid supporting and small roles in this piece, so keep the greatness comin' QT!

He played an awesome piece of shit in the second season of Eastbound And Down too. He's gonna do great in this.

 

And no, there's no rush to watch Machete Michael. You're not missing much.
