Don't be afraid of this limited October re-release.

(throws up the Greg Clark signal)

One of the few, a handful actually, of genre  movies I wouldn't change a second of. I wish this release would happen over here, too. I hate that I haven't watched this the proper way.

I will move hell and high water to see this on the big scrren. Can not wait for the UK showings.

I'm upset these are all on Thursdays, as my Thursdays are booked solid for the rest of the month with hosting duties. My only consolation is that I get to Q&A with Don Coscarelli.

I'm curious... did anyone else see this movie when they were so young that they found it terrifying?

As a kid watching this on an old Columbia/Tristar VHS, I was spooked by the librarian scare at the beginning and terrified of Gozer's bright red eyes.  Tell you the truth, Sigorney Weaver's make-up as the Gate Keeper freaked me out too.

I was, I think, twelve when I first watched it so I didn't find it terrifying at all.

I can still feel the rush I felt as they were going for the final fight with the crowd cheering them on, though. Pure exhilaration.

Ashamed to admit that GHOSTBUSTERS II terrified me in theatres. Janusz's glowing eyes as he left Dana's apartment and the heads-on-spikes scene in the underground freaked me OUT.

I believe the scariest part for me was the kitchen scene (Zuul) and the hands coming out of the chair. Probably Bernstein's music mostly. On second thought, I was probably more scared of my burgeoning hormones and the strange feeling in my pants during the spectral BJ scene and floating Dana.

Scariest scene was in Ghostbusters II when they're in the dark room and all the photos catch fire. Felt like for a moment, things got a little tense there.

I think I'm going to see this tonight in DE. Very excited.

Bet your ass I'm driving up to Minneapolis to catch this.

Seeing this tonight in MD. I've watched bits and pieces here and there when the movie would be on TV, but it's been awhile since I watched the movie front-to-back. Should be fun as hell.

Screenings of this are a perennial favorite at revival houses here in L.A. I caught it about a year ago. Plays so well on the big screen in front of a huge audience.

Is this only in the U.S? Also, 7 on a Thursday night is kind of awkward.

They don't want to waste a theatre on the weekends and they want you right after work so you decide to eat hot dogs, nachos, pizza and popcorn for dinner from the concession stand.  Marketing genius.

Just got back. That was the most enthusiastic screening I've ever attended. Everyone was cheering, applauding and quoting the movie.

Oh, and the movie looked and sounded FANTASTIC.

Sadly, my screening wasn't as enthusiastic. Not to say it was terrible, but it sounded like me and my brothers were the only ones quoting the movie as much and as loud, even when half the crowd had Ghostbusters gear on. But our crowd had fun with it. I was kind of worried when I saw a 5-year old in the front row, but it sounded like he had a great time, and nothing bothered him. Good parents right there.

But it didn't matter, I had so much damn fun with this. The movie will never get old (I was honestly giggling like a little schoolgirl waiting for "GET HER!" and "Okay, who brought the dog?! to happen, as I always get before I hear a classic line), and to see it on a big screen was fantastic. And agreed, it looked and sounded great.

I love this film like none other. But sadly it's only playing on Thursdays..which blows so I might miss my chance to see this on the big screen :-(
