I don't like his shows. But I like him. And he's certainly better than the cultural criminals that ran in into the ground. Why not, I say.

I've read that he used DS9 as an example of how to approach a new Trek series on the basis of long term focus on characters. That intrigues me enough to hear his pitch plus the chances of Ron Jones returning to Trek would be greater. Trek should be on TV, Abrams can fuck with the film series as much as he wants but I want to see Trek back on TV because that has always been the best format for the franchise.
