COULD AARON PAUL FIND HIMSELF THINKING IT’S A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD?

Breaking Bad actor among the list of names being considered to be John McClane's son.

Consider this a vote for Ben Foster. For everything.

Also, isn't Jeremy Renner 40?

Wasn't John Jr. born in 1984?  Which would make him 27.  Renner.  Really?

Renner is bananas casting. I buy him as staring in a reboot of Die Hard.

But either Paul or Foster would guarantee my attention and intense interest for this.

I keep wondering why Aaron Paul (YO) hasn't signed onto a dozen films like Cranston has. Turns out he was waiting for his opportunity to be the new Justin Long.

Alternate title for this:

YO, IT'S A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD.

BITCH.

I don't think de-aging Daniel Day-Lewis and casting him as John Jr. could guarantee my intense interest in this, given that it's the fifth film in a tired franchise and it's being helmed by a man seemingly pathologically incapable of making an exciting movie. I love The Ben Foster Karate Explosion as much as the next guy, and Paul is greatness, but they'd be a very small part of a very large shitfactory.

First his daughter and now his son? Who comes up with this shit?

Especially when the Gruber family tree is right there just waiting for some more judicious McClane pruning.

The sad part of this franchise is it shouldn't be a franchise. What makes John McClane awesome is he is a normal guy. A normal guy who is very grouchy, but takes a lot of punishment. When he gets multiple films, and doesn't die, then he just becomes a superhero.

Oh and I want Willis to put a wig on at least.

First off Die Hard should never be rebooted! EVER!  That said, if it had to be rebooted, then Joel McCale should be John McClane. The only reason I would accept for a reboot of Die Hard is that it would create world peace. Anyone who has seen the paintball episode from season 1 of Community can see my logic.

Considering how often Die Hard has been copied, a reboot of Die Hard would just be Die Hard in a building.

Go all Fast Five and bring back actors from each of the previous films!

Al Powell!

Dwayne T. Robinson!

Dick Thornberg!

Lorenzo Bros!

Walter Cobb!

Graham Greene!

Colleen Camp!

Sung Kang... as Han!

In Russia!

You forgot Mr. Devoreaux White.

Maybe they crossover with Fox' other hot Russia property, The Darkest Hour and have McClane battle invisible aliens made of electricity. Actually, Emile Hirsch even has the right age.

I hope in Die Hard 6 McClane has to travel somewhere to save his sister with the small feet from burglars masquerading as terrorists.

Cybil Shepard should play the small footed sister.
