Art Collecting

Do you collect art to display in your home, or simply to treasure? Post it here

I did an extensive search through this forum going back more than six years, and didn't find a thread for this specific purpose... So I'm starting one

 

 

 

A few months back I came into a collection of prints from a moldy old book from the 1890s called RIDPATH'S UNIVERSAL HISTORY: THE ANCIENT WORLD (volume 2 or 3, I do not remember). I quickly set about freeing them with an exacto knife. I think they're incredible! Some of my favorites (click to enlarge):

Kate,  did you check when the book was published?  Looks like it might have been pretty old.

Thanks for the link! It was from the 1890s I believe

I have a growing collection of concert posters/screenprints that I've amassed over the years. If there is one, I buy a poster at every show I attend.
