That was the thing that stuck out to me, the film was focused so squarely on Cap/Bucky that the commandos were sort of reduced to extended cameo territory. I'd almost have preferred it to be a bunch of random likeable redshirts, because then at least there wouldn't be that nagging expectation for them to, you know, do something. I suppose their role could be upped in a flashback-oriented sequel, but since they already mapped out Cap's role in the war pretty clearly (he blew up warehouses), I'm not sure how much is left to be explored.
