Boss on Starz

Succeeds in redeeming Chicago based shows after the horribleness of The Chicago Code.

Anybody else catch the pilot?

The parts that involve Kelsey Grammar cussing people out were a delight, but the rest didn't grab me.

The breakout character has to be the guy who temporarily paralyzed the doctor while she waited for her kid's soccer practice to end. Could watch a whole show about him.

Yeah, seemed like Frasier's own version of Mile from Breaking Bad.

I like pseudo all American boyscout future governor, too.

How is this show not getting more love? Holy fuck is this awesome! This is like a love child of West Wing, Breaking Bad and the Sopranos.

I was dying by the time the show ended last week. I needed more of it. Grammers brutal tear down of the governor was mesmerizing.. This is without a doubt the best new show on TV.

By the by... Kitties titties are A M A Z I N G. The outburts of nakidness in this show just makes me love it even more, the scene with the nurse... I wonder if Stelios get's Starz? Someone hook him up STAT!

Favorite show of the year, so far.  Amazing.

Awesome show, and this latest episode....wow. Grammer's character is the bastard of all bastards. Just pure evil.

Ezra Stone is the man.  Surprised Martin Donovan doesnt have his name on the opening credits and is always listed as a guest star.

Dude better stick around.

I came for Kathleen Robertson in sexy power suits. I stayed for Kelsey Grammer and Martin Donovan kicking ass.

Consider me on board the love train.

I'm not scrolling up on this thread, because I just watched the first episode last night. But I had to chime in and say this is one remarkable show. I don't know where it's headed, but it's easily as good as Homeland, at least as far as premiers go. Can't wait to catch up.

Edited my spoilerish post.

This show is superior to Homeland, IMO and comes close to rivaling Breaking Bad.

It's just tremendous. I could do without glossy-lipped black-frame glasses supermodel assistant,  but whatever. There's a level of detail here that Homeland only hints at, with none of the Moozlim Turrist baggage.

Not to mention, with these extreme close ups, the nostril maintenance must be through the roof.

I saw the pilot and while I enjoyed it somewhat, it didn't seem to reach anywhere near the heights of Homeland (although I never really thought to compare the two, they seem tonally completely different). I guess it improves? Would you guys say Boss is an American take on House of Cards? Thats the vibe I got, I just didn't know if it would go that dark. Sounds like it may have. I'll rewatch.

It does get pretty dark indeed.

Dark? No.

There is not a single character on the show that isn't under a ton of shit right now. Kane is a monumental asshole.

wow.  just caught up.

phenomenal 8 episodes.

I was legitimately riveted by the end of the season.

Kelsey Grammar was a force of nature.

Martin Donovan was amazing as well.

Yea, one of my new favorite shows. Can't wait for Season 2

Season 2 starts next week, and it's 13 episodes! Can't wait.

Hopefully the fact that this attracted less viewers than TERRIERS won't put them off a third season.

Do we all agree that Grammer ordered the hit on his aide, and it was NOT a delusion?

Yeah, it had to be Grammer, right?

I never thought of an alternative.
