If I were to write a comic book, It would be The Question as Fox Mulder on speed, because of JLU. Hell, JLU makes me want to be The Question when I'm a big boy. He's Batman without the mommy and daddy issues. RIP Dwayne McDuffie.

158) Charlie's Angels

Oh yeah, it was dumb as hell and used the already dated bullet time to death, but there are few movies that are as fun and let girls kick ass while remaining feminine(One of the best laughs for me was the reveal of Lucy Liu dating an actor that does action movies) and sexy. And who would have thought Drew Barrymore could convincingly kick ass? McG and Josh Schwartz really should have done the new Charlie's Angels show.

They probably could've had the sequel not bombed.

I also really enjoyed the first movie.  Hey, it IS the movie that made me go, "Wow!  Sam Rockwell can dance!!!"

I also kinda enjoyed the 2nd movie too, actually.

159) The Marine

Though not as charismatic as The Rock or Jason Statham, John Cena was convincingly tough in this surprisingly brisk thriller and Robert Patrick is great as the quipping villain.

160) Walking Tall

Again, not a great or good movie, but The Rock and Johnny Knoxville make a good team. Movie is hurt by not having a strong villain.

161) Shanghai Noon

Remember when Owen Wilson was cool? He made this passable but mediocre action comedy where they pull a Big Trouble in Little China and have his Westerner character be totally incompetent while the Chinese guy kicks ass. Lots of fun.

162) Harry Brown

This is the British version of Gran Torino, but a lot better. It's a hard crime movie and Caine is hard as fuck in it.

163. Dragon Tiger Gate (2006) dir. Wilson Yip

220px-Dragontigergateposter.jpg

Mystical Gangster Wuxia film. Hard to explain, but the fight scenes are amazing. The last one is a 10 minute epic.

164) Farscape

Aside from BSG and Firefly, the other great spaceship show of the decade. A great cast, a really neat and unique mythology and always satisfying.

Yeah, I was already a fan of Jeffrey Combs for "Re-Animator", but this and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (didn't catch up with it till 2008) really put put him over-the-top as one of my favourite actors. The Question was one of the greatest animated characters of all time. He was funny, intense, quirky in the best way, and played off the other characters beautifully. I loved everything he said because his dialog and Combs' performance were so pitch perfect and his interaction with The Huntress was priceless. More than anything else, he was what made the CADMUS arc the best serialized storyline I've ever seen on an animated series.  I'll never forget him throwing something through a window while softly singing Britney Spears-esque pop music. biggrin.gif

Huntress: Wow. I never knew the Girl Scouts were responsible for the crop circle phenomenon.
The Question: Few people do. Few even think to ask the question.

JLU makes The Question cooler than Batman.

Even the CAR is better.

So what's the deal, making other lists and never finishing this one?

It kind of jumped the shark at WALKING TALL.

I'm certainly spent. I think a list of 160+ movies is a sufficient enough tally.

I can't believe nobody mentioned "The Italian Job". I don't think the 2000s were a very good period for action movies, but that was one of the select few I really liked. Very well-cast, with creative/exciting action sequences, nice dramatic or comedic arcs for a few of the characters, and the last performance by Edward Norton (1998-2003 Norton ruled so hard) that I really dug, even if he was just phoning it in because he was forced to make the movie by contract. "Mission Impossible II" could have earned a spot too. It's rather schlocky, but I enjoyed it on a campy level. Gotta love the John Woo clichés and Tom Cruise's ridiculous flowing hair in slow motion.

Speaking of JLU, I would love to see Amy Acker in The Huntress costume!
