Go back to the cabin, twice!

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who got a Zombi 2-vibe from the synopsis for Cabin Fever: Outbreak.  I loved the first one.  Still need to see the second though, which I might just rectify tonight.  I'll be looking forward to both of these.

Wait. So the sequel is actually worth a watch?

I hated it. But thats just me.

1 was mostly ok (Cerina Vincent!). Haven't seen 2 yet. I'll probably wait and buy the inevitable 4 pack, if the home vid distributor remains the same.

No disrespect, but this is Rene...

By the by, the first film is exactly like the first Hostel. Great concept, fleeting moments of inspiration, followed by general bed-shitting. The best of Roth's three feature films is, w/out question, Hostel part 2. I say "feature", b/c if we want to call Thanksgiving a "short subject", I would argue that that's really the best thing he's ever done.

There is no amount of bed shitting that could nullify the goodwill the squirrels line and the kid bought.

We're also getting Hostel 3 by the end of the year. It's set in Las Vegas I believe. I'm guessing QT isn't "presenting" this one.

Cabin Fever 2 is somewhat ok in spots, but it's literally like HALF A MOVIE. You'll be ripped off, even if you LIKE it.

After hearing all the bad buzz about the sequel, I found it to be pretty entertaining. Even the ending that Ti West hated, felt like it belonged. However, I would really like to know what his actual ending was, because as Gabe said, it's half a movie. It really does feel like there's more, and if there wasn't, it's way too short as is. Even with the hated ending.

This movie would have played in theaters, as it's got enough gross out gore to keep the gorehounds happy, and the black humor is front and center. I'd say it's worth a rental at least. Just to check it out if you're into horror. Just don't expect to see Rider Strong in it for very long.....
