JOHN DOE - a film by Chance White

Hi everyone,

I'm an Atlanta based filmmaker with mad respect and admiration for the CHUD folks and everyone who is a part of this community.  I just wanted to share my latest film here and perhaps get some feedback.  This is my first 'a film by' credit.  I directed a feature which was released in 2006 called 'DEATH OF SEASONS', since then this is my 7th short film, one of my other short films this year, 'THE PRINCE'S PERFECT PARTY', won the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project and will be moving on to compete internationally in March.  I will be making the jump back to features this year.

The following film is one we created within 100 hours for the 100 Hour Film Racing competition.

Anyways, for those interested in gear:

Shot on 2 7D's, utilizing the indiSystems miniSlider and indiGO Jib. Lenses include Canon 14mm 2.8 L, Tokina 11-16 2.8, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Canon 85mm 1.4 USM, and Nikon Nikkor MF 50mm 1.4. Sound recorded on the Sennheiser ME-66, to a cheap preamp, to a Zoom H4.

Please check it out, all feedback is coveted and highly appreciated. If you like it, please VOTE for us by clicking on LIKE, and help us compete for the audience award.  I'm also interested in meeting any people in my area who may be interested in collaborating on cool projects.

Thanks!

It's shot really well (nice use of the jib) but I'm a little fuzzy on the narrative. Why is he seeing things (the person darting across his backseat) and is that him (or his ghost) looking at his own murder investigation? Maybe I missed something (sad, I know, it's only five minutes) but those are my initial reactions.

Do you have a Vimeo page or anything?
