Saw the red-band trailer this morning (and that's really the one you need to see)--I had no idea what to expect.  Looks like they're going the Charlie's Angels route of not taking themselves seriously.  And I can deal with that.  Channing Tatum as the token dumb guy?  It's the role he was born to play.  It could be terrible, but the last line of the trailer had me laughing.

Here's the trailer if anyone's interested.  As I said, it could be Starsky & Hutch bad, but it's got some funny stuff in the trailer.  And it's always nice to see Rob Riggle.

Looks like more teen comedy than badass action-comedy than I was hoping. But some of the jokes are good and I'm a Jonah Hill fan, regardless of weight. I too am on board.

It's hard to deny that the trailer has some solid laughs, but it's clearly yet another case of a pretty unrelated flick pegging itself to a recognized TV property in the hope of squeezing a few extra bucks out of the nostalgists. Calling this 21 Jump Street is like calling Paul ALF. Now, what price a Booker flick?
