Rob Schneider's Big Stan

A consistent level of low humor.  Cameos from Dan "Grisly Adams" Haggarty, M. Emmet Walsh, Marsha Wallace, Henry Gibson, Richard Kind, Sally Kirkland, Randy Couture and the late David Carradine as a martial arts master?  I watched it on cable and laughed most of the way through.  I think it even warrants a repeat viewing.   I mean, how many movies out there have fear of @$$-rape driving the narrative?

 

There are certain comedies that I catch on cable that I have no memory of ever getting a theatrical release and yet they're really funny.  Hamlet 2 is one such movie.  Big Stan is another.  Anyone else see this?

Never even heard of this one.  Did it go straight to video or something?

 

Even the IMDB rating is not bad considering it's a Rob Schneider vehicle.

I have no idea!  I had never heard about it in any way.  I did hear that certain clips are a staple on certain dark places on the internet that I don't want to mention by name just because they're so ridiculous and funny.  But I heard that after catching it on cable.  I don't know what channel it's on, but if you have Tivo or DVR, you should do a search for it.  The weird thing is, Rob Schneider not only star, he directed it!  And it's competently directed.  There's very little downtime and the humor is consistent throughout.

I only remember this movie by the original title: UNRAPEABLE.

Rented it from the Redbox when it first came out. It's silly, but Schneider is (gasp) funny in it. I dug it, but it's not something I'd run out and buy. He really did get into tip top shape for the movie.

Yeah.  It's not going to set the world on fire but it's really funny if you like low humor (which I do).  Unrapeable!  That makes perfect sense.
