The last one of these WESTERN/CHINESE CO PRODUCTIONS CENTERED ON WW2 AND STARRING A NAME BRITISH ACTOR I saw was pretty underwhelming (CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI), but I've got hopes that Bale wouldn't have attached himself if there was not something special here, or at least the potential for it

 

I doubt this will claim many Oscars, but hopefully it's a sign the movie is worthwhile
