I am wary of many new HBO shows these days, as the network seems to have lost a certain degree of that special magic ever since CHRIST ALBRECHT was forced out. With that said, I love Laura Dern, and so maybe this could actually be better than it sounds? Because right now the description reads like something that belongs on SHOWTIME or TNT, not HBO

I'm apprehensive about HELL ON WHEELS due to the fact it's not DEADWOOD, but then again, I find the subject of railroads and their construction to be rather fascinating, so it's a coin toss. I'll wait to hear what the word of mouth is as the season develops (if it gets a full season) before getting my hopes up
