WILL WE HATE THE LORDS OF SALEM?

Is this a film about Salem Mass? Inquiring minds want to know!

Yep....

 

Heidi, a blond rock chick, DJs at a local radio station, and together with the two Hermans (Whitey and Munster) forms part of the “Big H Radio Team.”

 

A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, a gift of the Lords. She assumes it’s a rock band on a mission to spread the word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lord’s record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma.

 

Later, Whitey plays the Lord’s record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with his listeners.

 

The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon, Heidi and her cohorts is far from the rock spectacle they’re expecting. The original Lords or Salem are returning and they’re out for blood.

So it's essentially this?

Wasn't there talk of really making Werewolf Women of the SS? That I would go see.

A 5-minute long cut appeared on last year's Grindhouse BR release and Zombie apparently has an hour's worth of footage in the can from the shoot he did.  Supposedly he wrote a script that incorporated all of the shot footage, but the Weinsteins turned him down and no other studio would put up the money to finish it.  I don't know how true all of that is, but that's what Zombie has been saying off and on for about a year now.  I'm sure he could actually get it made if he made the effort to go out and secure independent financing.  Who knows?  Maybe his partnership with Haunted Films on this project will be fruitful enough that they will be willing to make it and other films with him.  Anyway, it is being (or already has been) turned into a comic series.

 

Either way, he still has Tyrannosaurus Rex on deck (presumably with the Weinsteins) as his next intended film.

 

Ah, I've only flat out hated one Zombie film, so this one can't be as much of a travesty to celluloid as the Halloween remake was. Plus I want to see Bruce Davison! Also that tall nihilist from The Big Lebowski who says "I FUCK YOU IN THE ASS!" as a rockstar. Maybe he'll say that in this film?
