Frankly it sounds like it has the potential to be dour, dreary and lifeless, but I hope that's not the case. Owen is a real talent, one of my favorites, and so I hope he gets a chance to shine. It's just that I've seen him bogged down in muddled material before (THE INTERNATIONAL), and despite his best efforts, it can be hard for a movie to overcome such deficits

Sounds good to me.  It would be nice to see Owen star in a project that is good AND makes money though.  I don't want to see Clive end up in DTV dreck in ten years.

Always nice to see Owen get to be in kick-arse mode, and Schrader's involvement bumps the premise up from 'Generic as hell', to 'This could be really interesting (And fucked-up)'. Sounds cool.
