Death in Paradise (BBC)

Didn't think I would like this program but it's actually really good.  Ben Miller plays police chief Richard Pool as a cross between  Basil Fawlty and Sherlock Holmes and as a result makes a great lead character in the show.  

 

For those that haven't watched it, the program is a very old school Agatha Christie style "murder of the week " series but set on a tropical island in the Caribbean. The BBC have assembled a great supporting cast rotating guest list which makes the show well worth watching.

 

 

Anyone else caught it?

Another BBC show? I have to admit every one that someone mentions here I end up liking.

Will there be a second Season? I love this mixture between comic and crimestory, the composition if the actors and the characters they have to play and I especially love the carribian sourrounding - in one word: perfect!

I sure hope so. I loved the hell out of this program and I normally hate police shows.
