Actors Who Don't Age

Thread Starter

Besides the obvious "Helen Mirren looks great for 70!" types, can you think of any actors who seemed to have stopped aging at a certain point in their career? As far as I'm concerned Patrick Stewart and Hulk Hogun both started their careers at 50 and seem to have stayed that way. And of course, Max von Sydow turned 80 some time in the mid 70s', with barely any difference from The Exorcist to Shutter Island.

Wilford Brimley has looked exactly the same for 30 years.   Guess it's the oatmeal.

Maybe too soon to tell, but Leonardo Dicaprio never stopped looking 23. He just gets more or less puffy according to the demands of the script.

Perhaps poorly pronouncing your own affliction is the key.

Charles Durning

George Clooney looks exactly the same as he did in From Dusk til Dawn.   And while Raquel Welch hasn't stopped aging, she's slowed it down alot.   Raquel at 70

The majority of the Clueless cast seems preserved in ice.

Tom Cruise has only just begun to show his age in the past couple years. Then, of course, there's Chris Rock & Samuel L. Jackson. Because "black don't crack", baby.

Funny, I was just going to come here and mention Paul Rudd. I think he must have some sort of Dorian Gray arrangement going on.

Stephen Root has been the same age for 20+ years.

Same goes for Brad Pitt.   He's only just now showing the passage of time.   Also add to the "Black Don't Crack" file.   Ving Rhames.

Depp and Keanu age incredibly well.  Did you know Johnny Depp is 65??

Depp is made up of monkey voodoo. That guy hasn't aged a day in 20+ years.

Denzel rules this thread.

Monica Belucci hasn't aged much if at all these past few years.  Also Lucy Liu still looks pretty much the same.

Kate Winslet looks pretty much the same as she did in Heavenly Creatures in '95.

I saw a couple high res shots of Winslet at the Mildred Pierce premiere.  And I am sorry to say that up close, sadly, she does not.

(Still gorgeous, obviously.)

Ralph Macchio still looks 17.
Michael J. Fox has only recently started.to show his age, but he still looks (and sounds) younger than he is.

Guys like Fox, Macchio, Bob Costas... it's not that they don't show signs of the aging process, it's just that they never really look any older.

Robert Stack looked pretty much exactly the same from the 50's to the day he died, do a google image search if you don't believe me. I remember seeing him do a modern day interview for one of his early movies and could hardly believe it.

I'd say he aged quite a bit, but in a deliberate way. He ran with it and made being the suave older gent his 'thing'. It's a good plan if you can pull it off.

It has to be said that Cruise looks amazing for a guy about to turn 50, he literally just looks 35. I don't doubt that the surgeon's knife played no small part in that (and probably for a lot of these guys), but if so someone did some masterful work.

Going back to the first post and the Helen Mirren effect...

Susan Sarandon and Patricia Clarkson have both looked the same for at least a decade (if not longer). Not sure if it's the makeup or the food genes.

Yeah I would say alot of these folks have aged so well thanks to some real Rembrandts of the plastic surgery world.   Makes me wonder if that's why some stars go from amazing looking to haggard overnight.   Just take a look at Robert Redford and Goldie Hawn.   20 years overnight.

I've been trying to think of some musicians who don't appear to have aged. The only one I can think of is Kirk Hammet. He still looks to be in his early twenties.

Mary Louise Parker. BOOM.

Rob Lowe.

That gag about his character on Parks and Recreations trying to live to be 150 years old doesn't sound so silly when you consider that Lowe is already 47.

Steve Martin pretty much looks the same as he did in the 70's...he's always looked 45-50

The band members of A-Ha and Duran Duran. Those guys still look like they're in their damn early 30's.

Actor wise, Mike Starr stil looks like he's in his late 40's, and Danny Trejo has looked 50 for a very long time. Just a very muscular 50. Michael Rooker as well has looked about 40 for a while now. Guy looks to be in amazing shape too.
Dead on for Duran Duran and a-ha. They both look younger than the guys from Muse. Also, something tells me that Avril Lavigne will always look 15...even with the bruises.

Keith Richards looks better now than he did in the 70's.

Lindsay Lohan.   Looks awesome for a 50 year old.

Aside from eating one of those Altered Beast power-ups at some point, Trent Reznor could pass for 10-15 years younger easy.

Gotta disagree on Bruce. He had an age jump in between DIE HARD and PULP FICTION and maintained the same look for 15 years, but he hit another age jump about a year ago. He looks rough as hell now.

Haven't seen anything super recent of Bruce but in Red he seemed to be about the same age as he was in Pulp Fiction.   15 years is a good stretch.   Another actress who hasn't stopped aging but is aging in slow motion is Demi Moore.   Isn't she about to be 50?

Morgan Freeman has always looked 60.

Max von Sydow played Father Merrin in old age makeup and seems to finally be catching up with himself.

Marisa Tomei has aged nicely. Oh yes.

It's not fair to include someone who has clearly had work done.

Pretty much everyone we're listing has had work done.

Angela Bassett

Black don't crack, but it does deform. She doesn't look bad (aside from the hair and that fucked up dress which does her absolutely no favors) but Bassett is noticeably flabbier. Also, someone earlier mentioned Denzel Washington. Same thing, he still looks good, and of his recent movies where he sports a paunchier look are more about the character than anything else, but the years have made a distinct difference.

I do think Val Kilmer would still look great today if he hadn't said "fuck it" when he came this close to not pulling into that KFC somewhere back in 2003-2004. He's been camped just outside the premises ever since.

Rachel Weisz. She astounds me!

I'll second Rachel Weisz. She's aging magnificently & looks better now than she did in 95's Stealing Beauty.

I don't think Josh Hartnett has aged past 20. And he's like what? 35 now?

All of the Wayans family are vampires, but especially Damon Wayans

damon-wayans-1-sized.jpg

And then look at him with his son, in his late twenties, they look like they could be brothers
