After stretching himself deep into family-friendly territory, like a rubber band Marty is snapping back to the tougher stuff.

I'd rather have a killer snowman movie, but I'll take it.  The question is WHEN this will happen?  He keeps saying Silence is next, but he's already put it off twice before.  He's also got The Irishman, The Gambler, Dino & Frank, and The Long Play on deck......................as well as The Wolf of Wall Street (assuming he and producing partner Ridley Scott can decide which one of them will direct it).

I just hope he makes something soon.  With that many projects in development, there is absolutely NO reason we shouldn't have another Scorsese film in theaters by the end of 2013.

Nesbo should have Stieg Laarson's career, minus all the being dead stuff.

I'm really excited about this flick.  I hear Hugo amazing though.  But there's nothing like Scorsese exploring pitch black territory.  I haven't read the book but the description reminds me a little of Cape Fear, in terms of previous Scorsese movies, which I loved.

Like with Spielberg and Scott (and GDT), I've learned to not get excited about Scorsese projects until they start casting.........

- The Snowman

- Silence

- The Irishman

- The Gambler

- The Long Play

- Dino & Sinatra

- The Wolf of Wall Street

- The Last Duel

- St. Agnes' Stand

- The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt

- Drunken Angel

Marty has attached himself (and still is, in some cases) to all of those projects over the past 7 years.  I'm sure that list will be at least five films longer by next summer.

Scorsese's going to be 70 next year. He better be damn passionate about the next few films he does. More "Goodfellas", less "Shutter Island" please.

I thought Daniel Day-Lewis and Benicio Del Toro have been attached to Silence? I dunno, I just really REALLY want to see him get that made.

They are loosely attached.  It was supposed to be his follow-up to The Departed.  Then to Shutter Island.  Now to Hugo.  It's looking more and more like it is his "Lincoln" and will probably get made some day...........but with a completely different cast than originally envisioned.
