Network signs a two-year deal with the writer/producer and starts up a Doc Holiday project.

I wonder if The Dark Tower is part of this deal?

Anyway, I'm always down for some Doc Holiday action.

Love Holliday and can't stand Goldman. Deadwood fans cry and ask what if?

My fingers are crossed for the same thing for which Renn's fingers are crossed.

Oh yes yes hells yes to a Holiday bio.

Boo to Goldsman and Howard tho. Seriously, maybe I'm playing too much Skyrim at the moment, but Howard as a director is the very definition of a "milk drinker".

Now, Holiday, Holiday. You need someone with charm, flair and chops. late twenties/early thirties, but not too pretty. I'll be honest, Kilmers iteration is my template for this, simply because there's not been a Holiday more utterly delightful.

If he wasn't such hot cinematic property right now I'd eye off maybe someone like Ryan Gosling, he could pull off the razor charm balanced by the sickly fragility.

...and fuck you all, Fassbender would be perfection, but he's damn near as hot as Gosling right now.

You know who has the most potential of all and I'd love to see do it? Mother-fuckin Franco. Dunno if he'd jump to the small screen either (but you never know with Franco, he's a bit random with career choices sometimes), but the guy could pull it off marvelously...

Franco would be amazing..........................if he actually bothers to turn in a performance.  When Franco is giving his all, he's great.  When he doesn't care, he's operating at a modern day Bruce Willis level of sleepwalking through a role.  I'd side with Fassbender (outside of preferring him in general) for the simple reason that he has always given 110%.  Even when he was in Jonah Hex.

We're going to end up with a Timothy Olyphant-level actor on this one, at least in terms of popularlity................not someone like Fassbender or Franco.

EDIT - That's no slag on Olyphant.  He was great in Deadwood and is absolute perfection in Justified.

All washed down with a nice taste of Goldsman and Howard.

As long as Goldsman isn't writing all of the episodes, we'll be alright.
