COMMANDO Watch-Along - Saturday, November 26th!

Break out your DVDs, digital copies, and blu-rays!  You'd better be hungry, because we're gonna be having Green Berets for breakfast to let off some steam!!! 

 

The plan is to do this on Saturday, November 26th.

 

The time?  Here's how I think this works out.  PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG.

  • 8:00 AM on PST

 

  • 11:00 AM on EST

 

  • 6:00 PM in Greece (Saturday evening for stelios!)

 

  • 7:00 AM in Australia (SUNDAY morning for NathanW!)

 

  • 5:00 AM in New Zealand (SUNDAY morning for Bucho!)

 

 

At least 20 minutes before GO-TIME, get the following steps going:

 

  1. Go to this website: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/
  2. Scroll to the bottom and there will be a clock running on UTC/GMT/Zulu-time (Greenwich Mean time).
  3. Have your movie paused RIGHT AFTER the distributor/studio logos end.  Depending on where you live, the movie may have differently timed logos before the movie officially starts (fade in from black to the shot of the garbage truck rising from the street). 
  4. Press PLAY when the world clock hits 16:00:00

 

If all goes as planned, we should all be gazing at a white garbage truck at the same time!

 

I suggest that we have the watch-along in this thread.  The chat-room would be nice, but it doesn't always seem to be reliable for everyone.  It would also be difficult to save our messages for posterity.

My only issue? We've got a bunch of furniture being delivered this morning, and their delivery window overlaps our movie.  Here's hoping that they're here in the next 15 minutes OR really fucking late.
