Heroes and bad guys striking a pose...

I'm stunned that after so much information has leaked, after they've pretty much wrapped filming in plain sight, that this sounds like no Batman movie I could have predicted.

Alas, if only I could remain unspoiled until next summer...

I'm really anxious to see an actual trailer for this.

Photo's look great but yeah, really wanna see a trailer now.

I gotta say. I agree with that commenter. Getting major Mutant Leader vibes from Bane for some reason. Couple that with the eight year gap and expecting quite a bit of The Dark Knight Returns in this. Hopefully with something similar to the best line Frank Miller ever wrote:

"You don't get it boy...This isn't a mudhole... It's an operating table. And I'm the surgeon."

Bale can't match Ironside's delivery.

Kind of surprised the viral hasn't really fired up yet. Why So Serious? was such a hit I figured they'd follow it up with something big. Now I'm not so sure.

Do they need to spend that kind of money and effort though? BEGINS wasn't the monster that TDK was; this go-around the film kind of sells itself.

So, so pleased that the emphasis is being placed on Bane as the Big Bad. I worried early on that this movie would suffer from Spider-Man 3 syndrome, cramming too many villains in, but hopefully Ras and Talia will be Scarecrow and Falcone to Bane's Ras. Or something like that.

With the eight year gap is there a chance Bruce has trained Catwoman to be his successor?

Why would Bruce train Selina Kyle, of all people, to be his mentor? That theory doesn't pass the smell test.

Just wondering where she got the gear from. If The Dark Knight Returns is a template, Selina could fit the Carrie Kelly mold.

Of course, Bane has tumblers, so there's no telling...

The article makes a point of saying Bane's tumblers are his own special designs. What this means potentially...

and these are JUST my theories...

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

The League Of Shadows was controlling Wayne Enterprises R&D the whole time, enabling Batman to, somehow, be responsible for the downfall of the city. Batman, somehow, as pawn in a grander scheme, furthering Nolan's thinly-veiled "fuck vigilantes!" attitude.

Maybe? Too much?

I think that whatever drove Batman underground was also responsible for Bane ending up with Tumblers of his own. What you're describing seems a bit too far-fetched, Gabe.

Honestly, I think you're over thinking it.  Regarding the batpod, I doubt it will be much more than Bats telling Selina, "Hey, take my bike," while he runs off and gets in the new batwing/copter/whatever.

But...I thought chicks dig the car?

Isn't it clear that

Bane is Earle's son??

/bullshitting.

Has anyone else seen these set pics?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Bane interrupting a wedding procession that's being led by the camo tumblers.

That's my guess for the prologue, though I read something today that casts doubt on it.

Not in the least. But I had a fuckin' blast with it. It'd be a shame if they didn't offer up similar fun. Shit, even the Gotham City Domino's Pizza boxes were cool to me.

I tried to make a cool 3D Batman mask made entirely out of those pizza boxes but got lazy and gave up after an hour or so.

That wasn't part of the shoot, it was just happening in the area and they let them take some pictures with the cast and tumblers.

I'm really curious about the four new Tumblers. Bane could have had Humvees, or tanks, or anything else, but this specific car of Wayne's? Three of them? And while the one in Begins was said to be a prototype, he too gets another one?

Also, do you think we'll get a name for Bane? Or will everyone actually call him that?

Maybe they'll use Antonio Diego again.

Ha! Didn't research it enough to find that out. Figured it was some billionaire who bought a shit load of tumblers from Wayne Enterprises.

Best wedding ever.

Looking at those pics all I could think of was, will anyone be able to make out what Bane is saying with all that Alien gear on his face?! Will it be like Life of Brian where Bane's speechifying and everyone's like "Speak up! Can't hear ya!".

Have to admit, I totally dig the look, though I'm curious if they're updating his background to make him European. Not that I don't think Hardy could pull of an accent, but it just seems like the sort of backstory thing that only real nerds even know (much less care) about.

So what's the new vehicle the pics hint at? Bat-Boat? Bat-Wing? Bat-Big-Wheel?
