It really is an amazing video.  A great pick-me-up.

Well aren't I a little crybaby.

It's very hard to improve upon Chaplin, but simply adding the music would have been enough. So absolutely beautiful. I watch it once a day.

Yeah I saw this a few days ago.  One thing it also does besides uplift, is show how much better acting was back then.  Christ.  Day Lewis is the only one I can see having that kind of absolute command of the audience.

Truly an amazing video. I shared this on my FB the other day. 2 of them went out and bought The Great Dictator on blu thanks to this. 

I wasn't so much impressed with the contemporary recontexualization of the speech through video, as I've always found it to be a fine speech and a brilliant film all its own, but it's nice that it's getting a second life amongst a generation of people who've never even heard of Charlie Chaplin.
