BOX PRESS (4:18) MP3 FILE

Micah/keysguitars

Nick/keysmixingmastering

Jeremy/turntables

John/drums

Note: I think this is a good example of the sound we're aiming for. There'll be some uptempo stuff and some mellower stuff, but this is a good showcase.

JUGGY GALES (4:20) MP3 FILE

Micah/keysguitars

Nick/keysmixingmastering

Jeremy/turntables

John/drums

Note: A big full use of the soundscape. Crazy, "live" sounding, and bold.

This is stellar driving music. Those samples are too fucking cool.

The Scary Things does things to me. Mysterious things. Sensual things.

Anyone trying these?

I downloaded these on my laptop and forgot I had gotten them. Will listen soon.

I like Interlude (especially the way the samba beats are worked through it) and Little Discoveries (especially the way those mechanical type sounds are used) and The Scary Things quite a bit. There are things I like about Style Quotient but this isn't a type of music I jive with when it's dense like this.

BLACK SAND (4:36) MP3 FILE

Micah/beatsmixingmastering

Nick/keys

Jeremy/turntables

John/drums

Note: This was the first tune we started with.

Nifty. I like it a lot from about 2:10 onward and even better from 2:28 when the keys are doing that spooky thing.

Time to find a new name for your new project.  We've been performing publicly since the middle of 2004, have appeared on national television, have been written about in major musical publications, etc.

It's bad enough that some "comedy" duo has already released a garment called "The Fuxedo."  With the truly limitless array of possible options, how 'bout you try something at least vaguely new/different?

After listening to some of these guys music on myspace, I agree. We need to distance ourselves as much as possible from that nightmare!

Why don't you guys go write a gimmick song and stop worrying about other people's completely different shit. We may change the name but not because your trendsetting success scares us.

I'm not worried about your lame, generic electronic music -- it's the name.  And it doesn't worry me -- it just irritates me severely.  Odd that you're not even bright enough to do a mere Google name search before coming up with a moniker for your project.

I did do a search and all I saw was a band called The Fuxedos. And their music reminded me of Friday night at the bowling alley in 1989. So FUXEDO didn't bother me. It still doesn't. We have an electronic project called Fuxedo. Move on.

No, I'm not going to "move on", you arrogant, ignorant moron.  The fact is, we've already established a common law trademark on the name for musical purposes.  If you were making/selling something else, you might have a case.  But you don't.  Change the name, or we'll legally force you to.

We'll see. We're not even close to releasing anything. And I think "The Fuxedo Project" is safe. It's a big world. lotta things out there. You probably ought to go take lessons or something. Or get a burger in before the bowling league starts.

Review by music journalist Paul Zollo [Senior Editor, American Songwriter magazine; author, Songwriters on Songwriting  (featuring interviews with people like Frank Zappa, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, Randy Newman, Laura Nyro); contributor to Rolling Stone magazine, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, etc.)]:

His musical opinion is obviously far more informed than yours, you utter genius.  And, no -- "The Fuxedo Project" is *not* "safe."

You have been warned.

Bring it, you navalgazing douche.

As you wish.

You guys gonna be ok using up all of your prepaid legal services to send us an injunction for making better music than you'll ever dream of?

Actually, I can't say that. I wish I could say I've heard your music for comparison purposes, but when I tried downloading something off your 2009 eponymous opus on my phone, my screen just flashed "No" and rebooted.
