if we are talking the Bay movies then yes they are bad.  The 1986 animated movie however is genius.

Bay4mers.

Sorry, had to see it written. It's ugly.

Holy shit, this fucker again???

How many of these movies can a man make without being completely bored out of his skull?  He's been filming talking robots for 6 or 7 years now.

Not to mention I'm sick of these movies looking the same from film to film...this isn't Indy where it needs that consistency to work...this franchise lends itself to changing hands every film, or two....for God sake man, do something else!!!

A shot for shot, identical robot/vehicle/whatever transformations remake is what the world needs from Michael Bay.

He couldn't do it...the cartoon film was too coherent.

Studio's are passing rumors but I'm not sure what I'm doing? I know I'm going to do Pain and Gain early spring but that's it for right now. I'm leaving all my options on the table. I've got several Studio meetings in the next two weeks.

Each film keeps getting worse and worse, just let someone else handle this.

Probably.

On the other hand it's pretty complicated for the film's audience.

Ratty, I...Love the title.  TRANS4MERS is...Genius!  I think though, Bay should...Transform the Transformers films and the Bad Boys Series into one...Blockbuster Team up.  Have the Bad Boys join...NEST!  Give Will Smith and Martin Lawrence a Transforming Hummer!  This time let...Unicron be the bad guy!  Michael Bay could even...Voice, Unicron!

Let Bay stay on as executive producer, give it someone like Joe Johnston and let Bay finally do 3.

The only sequel I am interested in seeing Michael Bay direct is Bad Boys 3.

It makes me sick to my stomach that Spielberg is out there basking in his reputation as a national treasure, he dines with presidents and kings, and there is no more respected film maker in this country, and yet he doesn't tell parents to take kids to that quirky french kids film, or tell them to take a chance and go see X-Y-Z, no, he's out there pimping TRANSFORMERS movies as appropriate for the whole family

They're anti cinema, and my reaction to the last one was characterized by extreme depression about the fate of movies as entertainment

Why is Spielberg out there demanding more TRANSFORMERS? Does he not really love or care about movies?  What kind of serious artist attaches himself to something like TRANSFORMERS, and then allows it to become what it's become?

I know some here are fans of the series, but at this point I can't dress up or disguise the disgust I feel with the entire franchise

I'm just shocked that people think there's a good movie in the source material.  I mean, I loved this stuff as much as the next guy 25 years ago, but, really?

We're lucky to have the '86 movie.  Enough is enough.

Princess Kate, Why is Spielberg pushing Bay to direct...More Transformer Films?  2 Reasons...$1 Billion World Wide, just for Dark Of The Moon!  Also The Transformers Films are...Awe-Inspiring in their Awesomeness!  If this does happen the Naysayers do not have to hear about another film til what...2014?  There should be...2 Summers free of the most...Transformative Trilogy of the 21st Century.  I almost forgot, there is another reason to want more Transformers Films than mention his upcoming...TinTin and Warhorse.  Neither TinTin or Warhorse look very good.

MONEY..

Something tells me that Bay could appear in the final shot of the next Transformers while holding bags of money and screaming "Thanks Suckers!" and people would still see the next one. Make it stop, please.

yea, I think its gone rabid. time for a bullet.

The only positive about this is more paydays for Peter Cullen. Past that: Zzzzzz....

Spielberg is not a serious artist, Lars Von Trier is a serious artist.  Spielberg is an artist industrialist...he makes popular entertainment, even if it is sheltered under the guise of the artform of cinema.  Plus he runs a studio now, he's a mogul.  He's aware of the marketplace and that these movies inevitably will exist with or without his help.  Transformers got the go ahead from him...he chose Bay because he thought he would do it justice.  When the movies made assloads of money, the parent company demands more sequels because that's the business.  Spielberg can't stop more of them being made, so he continues to shepherd them to help the studio reap more profits, which is his job as a studio head.

Meanwhile, in his job as an artist, he's re-introducing the world to a much loved 20th century fictionalBelgian adventurer, giving us a a horses view of The Great War, and putting together what could be the most significant film dealing with Americas history since HBO's John Adams, if not longer.

Spielberg wears many hats and wears them well.

La tristesse durera toujours.

Regarding the topic at hand I'll say the same thing about this that I've said about the last two sequels - as long as Bays pumping out this product, he's not messing with anything I actually give a shit about, so please, lets see him make a hundred more of these movies - and preferably nothing else.

How is it that a guy like him can't just say, "Please, no more Transformers movies"? I mean, aren't these movies kind of a taxing logistical nightmare? Wouldn't he prefer to do other things like Pain And Gain for the rest of his career? Or, you know, not even direct, and just spend his days on his private island snorting cocaine off Jessica Alba's ass?

Kudos to Spielberg, however, who seems to be like, "Yes, keep making Transformers movies. Make NOTHING BUT Transformers movies."

Perhaps this has been Steven's real agenda all along?

Anyway.....................Bad Boys 3.  Make it so!
