THE LINCOLN LAWYER II: CONTINENTAL

Good. I nope it's as good as the first one. Not that it was any sort of a masterpiece but it was a very very pleasant surprise.

My thoughts exactly.  It's still on my "Top 20" list for the year.  I don't expect it to remain, as there's a lot I still need to see, but I also don't have a problem with it making the cut so far.

It already got bumped from my Top 15 I'm working on, but it will make an appearance on my Year That Was addendum. Great surprise of a film. Which, I suppose it isn't anymore, given that that's how EVERYONE has described it. Glad there will be more.

Yes, the first one was a nice surprise, and if they can match that quality (or perhaps exceed it), then I'll be more than happy

PS The LINCOLN has IMHO a very attractive logo /  hood ornament. I'd hope it features heavily into the ad campaign next time

Although THE BRASS VERDICT is fun because you get to see Bosch and Haller working together for the first time, I'd almost skip past that one, incorporating some elements from it (like the aftermath of Haller getting shot), and do THE REVERSAL as the next film. Haven't had a chance to get through FIFTH WITNESS yet, but I really fell for LINCOLN and would love to see more movies with this character. I'd also be a big proponent of a "one big case a year" series, too -- but they should get Matthew Perry for that one.

Harry Bosch, too, but only if Chris Noth or Titus Welliver plays him. 

Oh, and I have to demand that any sequel bring back Michael Pare.
