Bad movies or Bag Guys?

I was at lunch thinking that there have been an awful lot of bad instalments in horror movie franchises. Like Jason Takes Manhattan or Halloween 5. So, I tried to remember if there have been any really bad performances by the respective Villains: Freddy, Mike, Jason, Pin Head..... I cannot think of a time I was disappointed in any of the actual Bad Guys. I think they have always done their jobs very well. It's Just that the movie surrounding them Sucks.

Can you think of a time when a bad guy has had a horrible performance?

It's cool. Don't worrie about it. I get left hanging all the time.

So how about them Bears...
And hey did you read that House of 100 Corpses Has finally gotten a Distributor! I was fighting off the urge to post a question about the status of that movie again.

And for all those wondering, I now have all the equipment that I will need (I think) to start shooting my short horror film, and the music video that I want to shoot.

Oh... I am not looking forward to this winter, I need to go someplace hotter.

Okay Keeper, I'll respond. I do have a problem with the portrayals of Leatherface in the Chainsaw sequels, since they're all wildly different performances by a host of other actors. Of course, I'm a tad biased because I'm actually friends with Gunnar Hansen, who played Leatherface in the original, and I think he should've been brought back every time.

Matter of fact, Gunnar is a damned fine cook - he makes a mean batch of chili. Just don't ask what he puts in it. ;-)

I was just writing about this for something else, but I'm very sad to report that Robbie Jacks, who played Leatherface in TCM 4, passed away on August 8, one day shy of his 42nd birthday. Turns out he was a very cool guy, a lover of the genre, and was thrilled to play Leatherface (he co-wrote and recorded, with Blondie's Debbie Harrie, the "love theme" for the movie too). His obit can be found here.: http://www.visceramusic.com/rob2.htm
Rest in peace!

On a lighter note, I hung out with Gunnar at this year's Fango con. He is indeed a very cool, very literate, interesting person.
