did anyone happen to catch TLC doing Monster Hunters tonight? They had two episode on,the first dealing with the jersey devil, monster cats of England, and the chupacabra, detailing the legend and following a groups who are "In Search Of...". I had to tape the second because it was on at the same tiem as The Shield, but it looked pretty cool too.
Brings back the urge to go exploring the haunted house, or wander thewoods at night looking for Bigfoot or the devil or whatever. But all we gots down here in Florida is the Skunk Ape (WTF?) a swamp version of Bigfoot. I remember watching a show on TLC or maybe DIscovery about Bigfoot a while back and it was kinda creepy...had some lumberjack guy on there playing an audio tape of what he claims was Bigfoot outside his trailer/cabin/sleeping quarters.
Anyone out that got any good friend of a friend of an uncle stories dealing with monsters, or can recommend any good RENTALS (i'm really cheaplately) or just wanna share some local legends?

I've seen this show before, and the recording he had of Bigfoot was chilling. The subject is absolutely compelling for me.

I absolutely love shit about Bigfoot, loch ness monster and all their ilk, moreso i think than ghost. Seeing that old Bigfoot sighting tape (the famous one) still gets me a little on edge, although wasn't that proved by "experts" to have actually been faked? They did a show on one of the learning channels about fakery and I distrinctly remember showing (or rather demonstrating) Loch ness fakes, as well as crop circles, and could have sworn that Bigfoot was there too....
i don't care, I still love it all and would wholeheartedly join an expedition on the search for stuff like that!

On a side note, I just found a DVD on ebay coming out March 11th called Sasquatch, starring Lance Henrickson (forgive me if i sp'ed that wrong) and based on the true story of Harlen Knowles encounter with (this stuff gets me going but I have no idea what the Knowles guys experience is with ole Sassy) could be interesting though.

That gets my vote for best prank of all time. And now all the peope who went to universities and now try to 'study' it are trying to claim the Hoax is a Hoax, and there really is soemthing there. Anything to keep that grant funding rolling in I suppose.
