He's a neurotic, misogynist bully who's fallen for the thieves, rapists, and murderers he based his show on, looking to them as role models and American iconoclasts. Worse, he's not particularly intelligent. This interview provides more proof of that.

I don't think that's entirely fair.  I've seen interviews lately where he's talked more critically about the MC culture than before, which may be because he's responding to criticism such as yours, or because he's less worried about burning bridges with his "consultant" type connections in that world now that the show's been on a bit, or because he's legitimately changed views on them.  I don't know the guy, so I couldn't say.  But the club was definitely depicted as a toxic influence on everything it touched this year more than before.

 

Regardless, there's the old art vs. artist debate.  He could be the worst scumbag to ever take in air, but the show still stands or falls on its own (staggeringly inconsistent) merits.
