I just watched this movie on one of the Cinemax channels. I remember watching this as a kid and it freaked me out. I think this is a very under rated monster movie. A lot of different movies of the past have taken ideas from this movie. What do you guys think of it? Is it out on DVD?

I watched the mutant bear version a while back for the first time, I love the scene where the bear bitch slaps that kid in the sleeping bag and it explodes against the mountain side. Classic!

He said PROPHECY and not THE PROPHECY, and he said monster movie, so I'm pretty positive he's talking about the mutant bear one. Anyhow, I love this film! Simply excellent, and I agree its underrated as all hell! The bear is very menacing, and this is one of my favorites of the 70s! Also, yes it is out on DVD from Paramount.
