Some people are bemoaning no Nicholas Winding Refn or Drive, which is puzzling considering its a straight genre movie.

I really liked THE ARTIST but nominating it for Best Screenplay seems a bit silly to me.

Gary Oldman for Tinker Tailor is an obvious slight.  Did it open too late in the US, maybe? 

 

The lack of love for Community and Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson on Parks) is a crime.  A heinous crime.  Although, props for recognizing The Hour (even though Cougarton, I mean, Downton Abbey will win).  Amazing little show.
