Bane doesn't have anywhere near the mainstream recognition that the Joker does. People get excited about the prospect of a Batman/Joker movie. Batman/Bane sounds too much like inside baseball to too many people.
Remember, just because we know who Bane is doens't mean he's an exciting household name.
But hey, how about that Hobbit trailer, huh?
Glad someone is echoing the same sentiment. It's just being realistic about it. The buzz is not remotely even close for TDKR, as it was for TDK.
You mean the retarded studio that released Serenity at the end of September in 05 and Land of the Dead in the Summer, and all those people who weren't fans that didn't go to see either of those films? I wasn't very big on Dollhouse myself, but it came on at 9pm on Friday. Are you really surprised that it failed for that reason alone?
Anyways...I'm not saying those fans are going to make The Avengers a monumental success, but I think you're underestimating that fanbase if you don't think they are going to give the film a noticeable push at the box office.
I also think you're vastly overestimating the pull of a Batman film featuring a villain that isn't really popular or even known with general audiences.
Nothing else to say really.
And ya how about that Hobbit trailer....
