Right Wing Forums

Thread Starter

Just wondering where I might find an intellectual equivalent for the Right side of the political spectrum? I am taking more of an interest in politics and don't want to limit myself to places that generally share my worldview.

Avoid places affiliated with high visibility conservatives. Avoid sites that are devoted to politics. People go to these for a fight, not for talking.

The best luck I've had with talking to sane conservatives has been on sites devoted to stuff like military history. I haven't been there in a long time but there were a few good conversations I had with posters at the dancarlin.com forums. Who by the way does pretty awesome history podcasts. Also try the off topic forums in computer (not gaming) related forums.

I like the general balance and level of discussions on the Economist, Forbes, BusinessWeek and other business/economics sites.

With the IT crowd, I find it a weird mixed bag, e.g., if you want to hate humanity hang around the OpenBSD people for a while. If you just want all sides (including all OT) then /. is a good place to wallow.
