I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny. Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...

He kinda reminds me of Ellis from Die Hard. "Hans, bubby, we're gonna save those hostages."
Loved The Town, have yet to see Gone Baby Gone. Always a sucker for a period piece, not to mention espionage drama, so definitely onboard for this one.

I'm interested in this, but one of the things that separates Gone, Baby, Gone and The Town in terms of quality are the lead performances. Affleck is a good actor, but his younger brother is better, possibly great. So while casting himself is totally a have your cake and eat it too kind of thing, I just don't think it's the best thing for the film, for an actor with his limitations to take the lead (I'm sure he'd disagree, quite emphatically). Just refine those directing talents, guy, you're more than getting there.

After the last two movies he made I welcome any new Affleck with open arms. Even if he was the weakest link in The Town. His new-found directorial prowess is for me one of the most feelgood cinematic stories of the last decade.
