Celebrity Dead Pool - 2012

Thread Starter

Yeah, I know it's a couple days early.  I'm going to be out of town, and it seems like there's often a death in the first couple of days of the New Year.  Plus, as evidenced by last year I'm horrible at these things anyhow so my picks are most likely irrelevant.  But I'm getting things started anyway even if it's mostly a cut/paste from last year.

2. Chuck Berry
3. Felipe Calderon

4. Abe Vigoda
5. Pope Benedict XVI

6. Peter O'Toole

1.   Barbara Bush - Since a few of you are picking George Sr.  And I can't handle another week of hagiography from the Presidential candidates if Nancy Reagan finally departs.

2.   Barbara Feldon

3.   Stan Lee - I can just visualize stories about if he was/wasn't able to live to see The Avengers.

4.   Morley Safer - Go for the upset since Death doesn't like to be too far away from Mike Wallace.

5.   Michael Douglas - Kirk will outlive him just to screw with us.

6.   Rey Mysterio - Need a high-profile wrestling death to fuck up Linda McMahon's Senate campaign.  And I'll avoid the obvious choices(Scott Hall, Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy).

7.   Pamela Anderson - Gives her one last reason to appear on the cover of Playboy.  (The urge to pick Hef in this is intense.)

8.   Loretta Lynn

9.   Richard Dawson

10.  Mary-Kate Olsen - A coin flip on which one to take.  At least Ashley can get higher billing now!

Bonus pick:  The United States of America.  After Obama cruises to reelection, we get Confederacy II:  The Confederacying.

I saw a thing on TV the other morning (that show with Matt Lauer) where it looked like they were playing an Obit for Muhammed Ali, but it turned out to be something else - his birthday I think? I reckon they topped and tailed his ready-to-go death tape and tagged on the birthday bit.

If he dies this year, it's because of that. They rattled Death's chain.

I remember hearing his cancer was treatable.

Doesn't mean I wasn't elated when he dropped dead.
