I don't expect that, with the obvious exception of Luck and hopefully Awake, we're going to get any really cool new shows mid-season.

You couldn't decide if the Work It pilot was terrible? Can't say if the pilot was funny?

 

I dunno, I had a very easy time finding it the worst shit ever. Embarrassingly, awesomely bad.

The reason why I couldn't decide is simply because I hate sitcoms and don't find anything funny about them. AT ALL. I didn't even like Friends. What I mean is, I can't objectively decide if a sitcom is funny because I dislike sitcoms in general.

Your write-up nails what a misfire Angry Boys is from the start Natalia and it only gets more lacklustre in the second episode with the introduction of a severely undercooked and wildly broad parody of an American rapper. It's a character which is completely at odds with the downbeat vibe established in the pilot and makes the whole shebang frustratingly uneven in tone.

 

It bummed me out because I liked Summer Heights High a lot and became a fan of Lilley, but within two eps of Angry Boys it felt like the significant improvement he'd made from We Can Be Heroes to SHH had washed away and Angry Boys just ended up making me sad.
