Will shoot in a few months for a 2013 release, with Taylor at the helm.

Whatever his political views are (I know they're conservative), Downey certainly has the skills to be a celebrity politician!

I hadn't heard about Portman being upset over Jenkins' departure. Any reasons why?

And the more I learn about the first IRON MAN's production, the more I'm amazed at how good it is. Yeah, the final fight wasn't ALL THAT, but I don't think it's a terrible, shits-the-bed joykiller. And the film is remarkably cohesive for something that was being written as they went. I know it has its defenders, but the second one only gets worse with subsequent viewings, IMNSHO. I'm glad Black is on this - his strength as a writer can only help make the third outing stronger than the second, and it's great that Downey's acknowledging that people dug the first one because of the characters.

Can someone explain to me why Portman's opinion should hold any weight when it comes to Thor? She's pretty much window dressing.

Well she's a Hollywood darling isn't she? Beloved about Tinseltown.

If word is spread that Oscar Winner Natalie Portman is "furious" with Feige and Co. then Marvel have a 'troubled production' on their hands. They don't really want that.

And dressing though she may be, she's still the biggest name in Thor. I'd say she's a bigger hitter commercially than Anthony Hopkins and Joshua Dallas.

Who?

Seconding the "Who?" on that.

He played Fandral

That was a 'trying to be funny' fail on my part, but I stand by the rest of what I said.

You replace Portman on Thor 2 and I won't be surprised if even she will notice.

Continue the ongoing Black Swan War and cast Mila Kunis!

"It's MY turn!!!"

Oh, by all the gods in Valhalla, if only that were true!

Kunis won the "No Strings Attached/Friends With Benefits" Battle.

So far, it's Portman 1, Kunis 1 ! ! !

Kunis can fit her whole fist in her mouth. Portman 1 - Kunis 2.

A talent she shares with me. Portman 1 - Kunis 3.

Naw, Kat Dennings in the lead female role this time rather than the quirky friend.  You saw how Fandral looked at her!

That movie would have been ten times more entertaining if Kat Dennings' Darcy was the love interest, anyway.

Agreed.  If I were Thor, I'd have picked Darcy in a heartbeat.

Fuck it, I'm a god......................................I'd have both!

S.D. Bob Plissken, HarleyQuinn22, Darcy?  The...Shrill Kat Dennings?  By...ODIN'S Beard!  I kept hoping the...Destroyer would step on her!  I could see THOR with the lovely Jamie Alexander as Lady Sif, but not Darcy...UGH!

Couldn't agree more, and I actually like Natalie Portman. But Kat was great in the few lines she got. Plus the way Kat says the name of Thor's Hammer is fucking ADORABLE. "Mew mew? Whats mew mew?"

I like Portman, too, but her character in that film wasn't even a character.  Seriously, do the Mr. Plinkett Character Test on her: describe Jane Foster without saying what she looks like, what kind of costume she wore, or what her job or function in the film is.  Describe her as a person.

And...go!

Eh, she's driven.  And gets distracted by hot boys.
