I was very excited to see the American Reunion movie. I saw American Pie just after college and remembered it was quite funny. Jim, Michelle, Oz, Heather, Stifler reunite for their high school...

Inevitable, yet sincere post: I would really like to see the last Whatever Watch movie before anything else from him. Especially if "anything else" resembles Wanted at all.

This sounds like awesome subject matter for a movie, but if Bekmembatov directs I'm not sure I'll be into it. With Night Watch he stripped out most of the fantasy elements (I believe he even said something to the effect of "I don't like fantasy"...which of course explains why he chose to direct a fantasy movie) and replaced them with an admittedly energetic mash-up of SF/action movie cliches. With Wanted he ditched the superhero element for a more conventional secret-cabal-of-killers (though the fucking magic loom was pretty batshit). If he takes on this movie it'll probably end up being about people in Topeka who steal jewels, or something.

Last I read, he is fully willing to produce a third installment, but isn't interested in directing it.

I don't get that plot desciption at all.
From the article title, I thought he was directing some "Werewolves in Space" flick I remember reading about years back (EDIT: FULL MOON FEVER?). This isn't it.
