30 Rock: Season 6 - Page 4

Moretz is a lot of fun, but I'm weirded out by what they do with her wardrobe.  She looks overcompensatingly masculine.

“I killed Jenna Elfman, is that right?”

A bit of a low key week but Liz's anti-Irish prejudice killed me.

Chris replying I know to Liz saying I love you was obvious, but it still made me smile.

Tracy and Jenna's scene with the Leprechaun was awesome!

You're still at Jack Donaghy-levels of denial, sir -- it's "C-R-I-S-S."

The fact that Liz's boyfriend's name is Criss Cross still makes me laugh.

I love Sue the writer.

"Your highness, you may take your right as king.  I am a virgin...with white guys."

Then Jack...well, he doesn't say no.

I dug the "Game of Thr...." I mean, the "Colonizers of Malaar" intro....

edit to add:

I just saw this on the 30 Rock website...

There were a good 3-4 jokes that would only be funny if you'd played Settlers of Cataan for any amount of time.  Another thing I love about this show, they aren't afraid to pitch really obscure jokes knowing that a small group of people will laugh.  A wood and a brick was a road, even!

My first thought was that they were referencing Settlers, but then I figured it was too obscure a joke and must be some D&D or Risk type game. Glad my gut reaction was correct. Speaking of which, Settlers is now the Hipsters game of choice. I see people in plaid shirts, tight jeans and mustaches walking down the street with the game under their arm. Soon I'll see  them on the front porch drinking their PBRs and playing Settlers like old men play chess!

just read over at AV Club that there's going to be another 'live' 30 Rock episode Apr. 26

Caught a rerun of the 30 Rock episode on WGN last night. It was "Milf Island"...it's the one where Liz gets into trouble for saying about Jack_ "He's a class-A moron" and "he can eat my poo"

I thought it was strangely funny AND really stupid that the word "poo" was muted.... WTF??

It was even weirder that also in the episode Jenna says the word "asshole" without any muting.

What is up with the strange censorship happening...I noticed similar things happening with It's Always Sunny..."

I can sort of understand it when the show is shown during "family hours" (whenever that antiquated time occurs nowadays) but when the show is on late at night...?

Also...2 episodes of 30 Rock tonight in addition to Community ....WOO!

Gaylord Felcher strikes again.

Damn, they are on fire tonight.

They've been on fire this season.

Such a good use of Billy Baldwin, hilarious (Rose wine: goes great with a failed suicide attempt) and allowed them to extend the Steenburgen tension.

Although I must take issue with Tracy on this:  the chick from the "I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)" video was hot.  Full stop.

"NO MORE KRANG!"

Liz- “You wouldn’t say that if you read my Mythbusters fan fiction, it is sexy.”

Just fixed it. I blame the typo on PBR.

"I thought you said men shouldn't wear pastels unless they're a black guy on Easter?"

Great episode. Did anybody else notice that in Weird Al's song at the end, he was apparently saying that NBC's ratings were awful but it was overdubbed with 'awesome'? I can't figure out if that was intentional or if NBC freaked.

I didn't notice it, but that would fall right in line with the joke about the audio guys from earlier so I'll guess intentional.

Baby miners and rescue puppies. Seriously?

well, to be clear, the puppies were bringing the food because adult dogs wouldn't fit....

"No matter what happens, you always keep your chin up."

"Medically, that's a Neck Ridge."

Oh man, Baldwin's reactions to Baldwin talking about boinking Steenburgen. Baldwin is a god.

But I have one major problem with this show. Why is Hazel the only one hitting on Liz? She looks hotter and hotter with every episode.

That was easily my favourite line of the episode. Also, I'm really digging watching Kenneth's psyche slowly crack. I giggle every time he squeals like an insane pig.

Kenneth's slight breakdown was great!

"Technically, my parents were brothers-"  was my favorite Kenneth line in quite a while.

I fully expect to see "Mayor McCheese ominously pointing at the camera" become a new meme.

And, hell, I'll say it:  Kristen Schaal has a nice set.

Take a picture, it'll last longer.

That's her curse.

This was a very meme-friendly episode.

"I'M MAKING CASSEROLLEEEEEEEE"

Weakest of what has otherwise been a strong season, imo, but still a lot of goodness.  Mayor McBeth, obviously, but also Cerie's band and Tracy's aside about Kate Middleton's dress.  Nice to be reminded that he can do something other than deliver incongruously-specific references while fighting back tears.

Wasn't feeling this one a lot. The hook was pretty weak.

"it's looks like a swastika made out of penises"

loved this one.

Too much like the 'Homer is dumb because of the crayon in his brain' episode of The Simpsons.

But Smurfette Jenna? Totally would.

Good, but I didn't laugh out loud that much, save for Pete getting his face bloodied by the stationary boxing dummy.
