Can't wait to watch this. Really like Marty said, it's up to the film maker, but if you have a complete digital process, you shorten the time between the conversion to home video. That said, servers to hold the movies are not going to be cheap themselves and I'd assume they take a lot of space, and have higher maintenance costs. I guess with 4K blu ray on the horizon, it might not be a problem, but I don't know how long a blu-ray disk can last compared to a stored film reel.

I will repeat: all those twitter debates would make a great series of articles or video round tables.

Film will never die, it'll just be a novelty thing.  Like shooting in black and white, or 16mm...in the future, studios will question it like they questioned Spielberg's desire to shoot Schindler in black and white, though that's not the best example for obvious reasons.

Definitely interested in seeing this.  The contrast between Cameron and Scorsese is pretty interesting.  I'll always prefer the look of film, but (with apologies to No Country for Old Men), "You can't stop what's comin'.  It ain't all waitin' on you, that's  vanity."  Good on Keanu for putting this together.

I agree Casey. Me and Iain almost had a tech-centered podcast going, but motherfucker got all busy actually shooting stuff. We'll see what happens-- we've gone at it a lot lately.
