Your Fave Goofy Looking Actor "Transformations" - Page 2

Just glancing back through this thread, and yeah, some of mentions are cuckoo. Theron in MONSTER and the DICK TRACY stuff are amazeballs. Ditto Hoffman in HOOK.

I think the DICK TRACY stuff is fine, considering the movie's graphic aesthetic, campy style, and comic strip origins. It's no serious Oscar-hopeful drama.

This is what happens when you try to get in on some of that sweet early 90s gender bending twist reveal action, but your director isn't Neil Jordan plus your movie is generally fucking retarded. I give you Jane "master of disguise" March in The Color of Night:

Yeah, I remember seeing that in the theater and thinking, "Really...? REALLY?!".

Yeah, my bad, I misread the intention of the thread.  I think she looks amazing in Monster too!

Intentionally ridiculous and technically superb, but ridiculous all the same:

You saw Color Of Night in a theater? Really?

Jane March in the 90s, dude, Jane March in the 90s...

Also, it was supposed to be the directorial comeback of Richard "The Stunt Man" Rush. I remember that the theater was packed as shit, too. It was a MAJOR film for a weekend before the disastrous WoM killed it stone dead.

J'accuse!

Art Decade, your revisionist history cannot hide your terrible, terrible taste in movies.

Tell the truth, you were in that theater by yourself, weren't you?

Ooh, ooh! I did! Was working at a movie theater at the time. Before the trailers we showed slides, only the projector was broken, so we just had red gels on the screen. I quipped that the color of night was red and inadvertently spoiled the movie for all eight people in the theater.

Well done, TCD. Well. Done.

My plan to rewrite the history of an awful movie's "first weekend popularity", dredged from the foggy, half-remembered memory of a 16 year old stoner boy has yet again been foiled by your ingenious skills of detection. Braaavo. Oh, how I cringed in terror at the thought that my deception might be called out & lit asunder by a mighty sword of truth held aloft like Excalibur in the hand a shining knight whose identity lay as black as night & as unknowable as the mysteries of the universe itself. Damn you, sir, and the heavens that birthed you!

Seriously though, the theater WAS packed that first weekend. Whether it was made up solely of gentleman hoping to see Jane March super nude, I can't say. If that was indeed the case then - WE DID IT, BOYS! [pew, pew!]

I've got your back, AD.  I saw this in the theater, too (dollar theater, but still).  It's a gloriously retarded movie.

Has she made it into the Salma thread yet? I can't check it here at work.

I don't believe that she's had the honor of an induction yet.

Have you seen Jean-Jacques Annaud's The Lover?

Certain bits...

...until the video tape snapped.

That Sean Penn photo is the stuff of nightmares.   According to the synopsis of "This Must Be the Place", the plot is even funnier.   Apparently it's about an aging rock star obsessed with hunting down a Nazi that tormented his father.  Sounds like the best Oscar Bait movie ever.

Every single actor wearing a beard in GETTYSBURG deserves to be in this thread. Most ridiculously bad attempt at period facial hair, ever.

Piscopo all buffed up with a half assed mullet, in the otherwise enjoyable Dead Heat. Just no, dude.
