Different spin: how about dead-eyed, coked-up, deadly serious Vince Vaughn?

Everyone's mentioning Liam Neeson, but maybe this is a chance to do a cheap $5-$10 million version and let Neeson's Grey co-star FRANK GRILLO shine. Now THAT would be a throwback. Grillo practically SCREAMS seventies vigilante movie.

Give me Terry O'Quinn for this. I can already picture the Bronson 'stache on him.

Or, of course, Robin Williams.

Someone in the article comment section suggested Bryan Cranston for Kersey, which would be brilliant. Can just picture him during that scene where Kersey comes home and breaks down and pukes after his first kill.

Yeah, he would be flexing a lot of the same muscles as with Walter White, but he could do amazing things with the moral grey area aspect of the vigilante (Walt is almost comically monstrous at this point, so there is very little of that left with BB now).

With recent movies like FASTER and DRIVE ANGRY (or useless remakes like SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE and STRAW DOGS), they'll really have to do something unique to make this stand out in a crowded been-there-done-that genre. I agree with the article. Gotta be a stretch/transformation for the lead.

Also: I'm really surprised A-TEAM didn't do better BO and we're not talking sequel by now.

I doubt Carnahan will go with the too-obvious Neeson choice.

As for Grillo?  He's not going to be Kersey, but Carnahan has already confirmed that he is writing a part specifically for him.
