WORLD'S BEST DAD director brings you a new black comedy.

Damn. That is seriously none more black. A must see!

This looks incredible.  But even if it looked like shit, I'd see it because Bobcat made World's Greatest Dad and Shakes The Clown.

Maybe Hulu has a sense of humor by running the Battleship trailer immediately after GBA's.

Superficially, it's kind of a dumb idea for a movie. But Bobcat is legit three for three as a director, so I'm onboard for anything he wants to do.

If you're here without watching the trailer, I haven't seen the movie, but I've been told the footage here is very spoilery. Make of that what you will.

Yes, yes, and yes.

This looks like great fun. It struck me as if Bobcat watched some Bill Hicks or George Carlin at their most misanthropic and went, "Let's make a movie of that!". I can see this being a really cathartic, good time.

Dude, watch World's Greatest Dad.  Bobcat doesn't need any mentoring to help with misanthropy.

They reached into my subconscious and made a movie of all the things I've wanted to do. Oh yes, oh yes.

Seriously, this is the type of idea that anyone whose ever played around with the idea of writing a movie sees and immediately goes "fuuuuuck, why didn't I think of that?"

Though if you had that idea and told me about it, I'd say, "Don't bother. No one will ever finance that. You'd have to raise the money yourself." Bobcat's career is a great model for the idea of selling out first, so then you can do whatever the hell you want later.

This looks amazingly cathartic. Who knows how many worthless lives it will save.

Yeah, I see it more as an idea probably plenty of people have thought of (and not all of them screenwriters), but how would this movie ever really get sold to anyone?

Anyway, the premise has the potential to be morbidly cathartic, but it also has the potential to be thuddingly obvious.   After World's Greatest, I'm pretty sure Goldthwait can pull it off, though.

Egg Stork gave George Calamari a lead role.

That tickles me almost as much as this trailer does. Nice to finally see Bill Murray's other brother upfront and center. Hope he pulls it off.

Looks like "vicariously feelgood movie of the year" material.

Looks like Bobcat is going to keep up his streak of hits. I can't think of anyone right now who makes such pitch dark yet eminently watchable movies. This too will be a blind watch for me. No need for even a second of footage or a single photo for me.

I feel silly for only now realising that Freddy Rumsen is Bill Murray's brother.

Totally up for this, WORLDS GREATEST DAD can't be recommended highly enough.

It looks like the Good version of POSTAL.

And Shakes The Clown and Sleeping Dogs Lie. Dogs especially has some of the most uncomfortable lines ever committed to film.

Yeah, me too. Can't wait for this one.

Anyone else here Frank Connif right at the start?  Groovy.

It also occurred to me that this could potentially make a great double feature with FALLING DOWN.
