Just wanted to say I'm enjoying the write ups. I knew about II and III, but didn't realize there had been a fourth in the series. Olivia Hussey? Man, that makes me sad.

Worth mentioning: when this was in production, TV Guide did a full spread and interviewed Perkins about the film. One of the bombs he dropped was that four (!) different endings had been filmed, and not even cast and crew were aware which was the "real" ending, but that whichever was used, it was going to shock people. Burning down the house felt almost obligatory for putting the franchise to bed; but that interview made it sound like we were going for a twist worthy of the first film (or, hell, even the second).
