Is this really a spoof? He just reenacts parts of the movie. That's not really clever; it's just playing on nostalgia. Don't Superbowl ads cost millions of dollars per half minute? What a waste.

 

That being said, I'd have paid to see Jeffrey Jones show up in some capacity.

Too long/poorly paced. Rather than being funny, it becomes a checklist of critical moments from the original film. It doesn't help that Broderick looks completely bored for the entire commercial.

a) It's an extended online version of the ad. Not the ad that will be aired on TV.

 

b) Of course, it's playing on nostalgia. Many commercials do.

 

3) Spoof/homage, tomato/tomahto.

The Jerry Seinfeld Acura ad is better but like this Bueller one it goes on for too long.

At least they have two avowed car nuts.  The Bueller one should have done something similar where he DOESN'T have a CR-V to stay truer to the movie.
