Over in the beer drinkers thread there was a post detailing how the major brewers were introducing variations of their standard fare and also creating microbrews, Coors/Blue Moon, as a way to occupy valuable shelf real estate in order to push out true microbrew competition.

John Carter is gonna bomb like a motherfucker.

Here in LA my wife and I shop at Sprouts and Whole Foods and the microbrews totally out number the major brewers.. Im thankful for that. While I like a Blue Moon, I really don't see anyone who enjoys microbrews pooping the cap off of a Bud Light Plat.

A lot of pink slips will happen at Disney, A LOT.  How is that movie going to be any good? It just looks terrible.

When did VW and Star Wars partner up?

Men everywhere were just made to feel fat and inferior by David Beckham.

The Star Wars portion of that Volkswagon commercial was so tacked on and unnecessary.  The fat dog was enough to sell me.

And I can't believe THAT was how Disney chose to sell John Carter to this big an audience.  That spot was inexcusable.

Enjoyed fat dog, Star Wars was forced, no pun intended.  What is John Carter even about?

Per Twitter, Avengers trailer coming up soon.

I was completely full and yet still forcing an ice cream sandwich down my throat when that commercial came on. Now I feel a bout of boylimia coming on...

Re: The Avengers

That's all we get?  WTH!?

Watch the extended ad on the Facebook page.  It's better.

I enjoyed it, but it seems they wanted more hits on their facebook page then viewers during the game.

Watched it on Facebook. I can't wait to see Loki again.

Ugh.  I have to Like their page to view it.  No thanks.

The money shot at the end of the Avengers trailer does the job though.

I have a giant hate hard-on for Facebook and really dislike contributing to their demographic databases in any way.  I can wait a day or two.

Avengers Extended Trailer, non-Facebook version.  Thanks to Leonard.

Loved the M&M commercial and the Doritos one where the dog was paying off the owner. VW was good up until They tacked on Star Wars.

Well, it's quite apparent who Madonna likes on the Avengers, no?

Is that the Bifrost in the middle of the field?

Madonna of Asgard!

So, it's Skrulls, right? Looks like Skrulls. Skrulls?

I wonder how much of the Avengers ad Facebook paid for. Hopefully enough to make it worth having everyone who watches only the Super Bowl spot react with, "Uh, whatever."

If 110 million people watch the Super Bowl, how many will see the better trailer? 10 million at most? So 90% see the shitty trailer? SMART!

My only reaction was, "Scarlett Widow cut her hair. Huh."

The "daylight headlights" car commercial has been my favorite commercial so far.

Stripped Beckham doesn't make me want to buy underwear. Not sure how that ad was supposed to work...

Get this old lip-synching bitch off the stage.

I'm interested in whatever is doing the visuals in front of and around the stage.  Is that CGI for the folks at home?  Some sort of projection onto the field or some crazy monitor of some sort taking up the whole field?

The scrawny "footballer" elicited chuckles all around at this party, females included. Not the reaction they were going for, I'm guessing.

None of the above. She's so bad that SPACE ITSELF is warping around her.

Looks like she almost fell off the back of the stands there for a minute. It's sad to get old.

There's a shot of some bad guys about thirty second into the extended version, and it's either guys in armor or robots.

Is Cee-lo Madonna's new BFF now?  Or is NBC throwing him in there to promote "The Voice"?  Whichever it is - I just realized I wouldn't care too much if I never heard or saw Cee-Lo ever again.

And who would think that Madonna's performance would be so boring?

God bless Clint Eastwood.

Ad of the night.  Way to go, Clint.  Way to go, Detroit.

Who were the other performers in the show besides the walking Voice commercial? I must be old, as I didn't know anyone.

Here's what I don't understand, though.  You have all that firepower, and then Scarlett Johansson holding a Glock?  Who is that intimidating?  It's like five guys with bazookas and then a little kid holding a BB gun.

I'm the only person on Earth who didn't like that car commercial masquerading as an Eastwood/Detroit commercial, aren't I?

That was Nicki and MIA, along with Cee-Lo and LMFAO.  All Madonna does now is suck the blood of younger talent to try to make herself look hip.  Pathetic old hag.
