The Avengers feels incredibly claustrophobic to me.  I'm not asking for an MI:4 globe-trotting adventure, but for a film that contains some of Marvel's biggest names, the footage that I have seen thus far makes it feel much too confined.  Maybe a more intimate approach will turn out to be better than someone jizzing all over the screen, but it just feels weird right now. 

 

Bruce Willis looks like a snotty kid demanding candy in those screencaps.  Veruca Salt with a semi-automatic.
